Hi Carolyn and all, As you may or may not know, I am a licensed physiotherapist. I have had personal experience with medicinal marijuana. A 25 year old women sustained a severe case of Muliple Sclerosis. It was very progressive in a short period of time. Unfortunately, one of her symptoms was a neurologically-based tremor of her head and upper extremities. So much so, that the head shaking would make her dizzy and vomit. She was perscribed medicinal marijuana grown for that purpose, not street MJ. She had a glass pipe system set up on her counter. She would wheel over in her wheelchair, take a few tokes and the marijuana would relieve the violent head tremor temporarily. This would allow us to exercise and work on balance in 4-pt kneeling position, tall kneeling. etc. She did not get high on it. On the countrary, it would relax her body enough to allow us to work hard at getting more midline core control. (lesson learned... don't throw the baby out with the bath water...sometimes we have to give people something to ease their suffering.) Theresa

I personally think that different strains of MJ are able to treat all sorts of different ailments. My grandmother died of cancer when i was a child, she never smoked weed her entire life until she couldn't eat any more. She smoked a joint with my dad and she was eating again. The nurses thanked my father, they said they hadn't seen her in as good a mood the entire time she was hospitalized and it helped her to take on her last days without the extreme discomfort that lung cancer tends to bring with it.
Also, I have observed pot relieving countless cases of pain with so many different people. Namely my best friend whom was going to physiotherapy for a deformity in his wrist, he could barely lift coffee cups without dropping them, pot relaxes the tension to such points that he can write, draw, or even drink coffee! lol
Not to mention the endless list of times it has helped people deal with depression, arthritis, alzheimers, and so much more.
Montel smokes weed people. It's helping him. ;)

That and anything that puts you in a good mood puts you in the right frame of mind for healing to happen more rapidly.
Pot's the universal cure all providing you're smoking the right strain for the right thing.
I've heard of pot giving people panic attacks.
But hey, some people are afraid of buttons or going outside.
